Even though it is named “Men’s Paris Fashion Week”, Y/Project’s catwalk was filled with girls in beautifully sewed dresses. It’s the second time that Glenn Martens shows the new direction of Y/Project. The SS15 collection showcased during Men’s Paris Fashion Week showed that Glenn is marking himself as a strong leader to continue with the brand's already existing DNA, but also being able to add that something new.

Elegance with a straightforward silhouette combined with a sporty 90’s feeling summed up the SS15 collection. The collection showed different ways of combining the elegant look with a more edgy and retro feel, so that it was both street and sophisticated. The huge variety of unique fabrics and the spacey prints lifted the collection to an even higher level.

The main inspiration for the SS15 collection came from references back from the 90’s, which also is to see with the spacey prints and the added lime-color this season.

“I’m living in Paris and I’m surrounded by kids of the 80s and 90s. They all raved into adulthood and are now full on workaholics, respected, nailing every single step of their lives. Nevertheless, at times, it’s clear that they have not forgotten the explosive charges of their past.” says Glenn Marten.

With a strong collection of reflective parkas, suede drawstring shorts, transparent cycling tops, denim perfectos, waxed leather jeans and jackets, paneled silk & linen trench coats and suits, there is definitely marked a new direction for Y/Project.
