SOME/EVENT : COLLABORATION LAUNCH AT S/T CONCEPT S/TORE
Friday 26th of September, the energy of the Fashion Week vibed into S/T CONCEPT S/TORE on the occasion of a presentation of our new collaborations.
All projects were dedicated to the theme of META/MORPHOSIS as a foretaste of the SOME/THINGS MAGAZINE next issue -008- to be published in december 2014.
Amongst the brilliant artists and designers we showcased, our four newest collaborations with Brethren, Fob Paris, Xenophora and Rigards.
Montreal-based duo Brethren was born from the association between Laurent Veilleux and Francis Rudman. Together we imagined a pair of gloves and a scarf in materials that are constantly moving and progessively adapt to the morphology of their owners.
The alternative watchmakers' brand Fob Paris came up with the first pocket watch created in full adequation with S/T universe - black polished metal on a black stained steel chain with a subtle S/T logo engraved in the glass. An evocation to the metamorphosis of time in the purest lines and finest materials - enclosed in a high-standard system enabled by the exceptional know-how of their Parisian craftsmen and unique vision of the three founders-designers of the brand : Aurelien, Laurent & Sari.
Detroit artist Karissma Yve, founder of the art jewelry line Xenophora was showcasing her own metamorphosis through a set of two bracelets - handmade of 925 sterling silver - half/polished, half/roughly sculpted with these ornaments designed in a spirit of constant evolution.
Freshly arrived from the Malaysian creative workshops of Rigards, the sunglasses collaboration between SOME/THINGS and designer Ti Kwa is a unique product made of natural buffalo horn. Rigards responds to the mere concepts of "Handmade craftsmanship, honest materials, simple products." in perfect artistical humility. Amazing sculpted frames and signature hand-executed surface finishes will metamorphose your look in a wisely stylish way.
Amongst those collaborations, S/T CONCEPT S/TORE was honored to present three exceptional products with courtesy of Devialet, IOTA Element and Hasselblad.
Devialet presentation of revolutionary amplifier Devialet 120, as a total pledge of uncompromising performance: ADH® and integrated SAM® technologies, expandability via its EVO® platform and extreme ease of use, in an extremely elegant cabinet. The built-in EVO card enables free, regular updates of the internal software that offer you the ability to improve its performance or to take advantage of new features in just a few clicks.
IOTA Element results from an alchemy between the savoir-faire of two cabinetmakers graduated from the prestigious Ecole Boulle in Paris and the global and pragmatic vision of an Arts et Métiers ParisTech engineer. An innovative concept of furniture incorporating various technologies is developed in order to transcend the primary functions of furniture. After an exclusive collaboration between us over the ECHO project - a desk combining high-end skills of a « Full Digital » integrated amplifier with a loudspeakers system - SOME/THINGS was granted the exclusivity of their upcoming set of speakers - currently under prototyping.
Taking its aesthetic and technological inspiration from the Hasselblad 500C of 1957 - the first camera to go into space - the Hasselblad Lunar revives its timeless charm through its advanced P.V.D. frame and the contrast in colour between the carbon fibre camera body, the lens and the extended titanium mechanical controls. It offers an evocative vintage look with a truly elegant appeal based on the reunion of high tech Italian design and Swedish tradition. Model showed at SOME/THINGS is the top of the range SEL1855 LF 18-55MM F/ 3.5 - 5.6.
A wind of META/MORPHOSIS was already flowing in the air of SOME/THINGS CONCEPT/STORE as an immersive physical prolongation of our universe. Follow our blasting re-creation!
