the photography of

NICOLAS MOULIN

is characterised by a fascination with urban architectural utopias, and their resulting dystopian landscapes. Moulin’s photographs are a study of memory – how we create our future through projections of the past.

SOME/THINGS

visited moulin’s solo show,

subterranean

, at

Galerie Chez Valentin

in paris earlier this year. The exhibition projects moulin’s conception of a world both present and obsolescent, true and false, through a series of imaginary archives of architectural designs. The result is a truly individual reflection upon brutalist forms and fallen utopias.
