American singer-songwriter PATTI SMITH was a highly influential component of the New York punk movement in the 1970's. starting her career as a poet and artist, PATTI's work evolved into musical performance with a mixture of experimental, free-form pieces, & straight forward rock.

her new record 'Banga' [recorded at Electric Lady studios in New York] was released on June 4th 2012, marking her first album since the 2007 covers record 'Twelve', and first original material since 'Trampin' in 2004.
