WILDLIFE AT THE CUIXMALA NATURE RESERVE / RESORT IN MEXICO
DURING THE HOLIDAY PERIOD, THE
TEAM WAS KINDLY INVITED TO DISCOVER THE WONDERFUL
and
ESTATES IN MEXICO.
The late
purchased the land for
in 1987, before his villa, La Loma, designed by ROBERT COUTURIER, was completed in 1989. During his lifetime he created a foundation to study, protect, and restore the property's landscape and wildlife. While La Loma is now a luxury eco-resort and world-class hotel,
is an extraordinary 25,000-acre [10,117-hectare] nature preserve and working plantation that is part of the larger Chamela-Cuixmala Biosphere Reserve.
In addition to the natural wildlife, which includes mountain lions, jaguars, american crocodiles, and hundreds of bird species, the property's Turtle Station and Hatchery hosts incubating eggs and houses recent hatchlings for nightly release.
also features a small, gated exotic animal sanctuary for zebras, elands, and black buck antelope.
/ We would like to thank
and
, Efrén and Maria Campos, and everyone at
